Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight Train from Hanoi to Sapa
(Meals: N/A)

8:00 pm: Meet at Hanoi Train Station and board a comfortable overnight train to Lao Cai, the gateway to Sapa. Enjoy a peaceful night in a cozy sleeper cabin as you head toward the mountains.

Day 2: Sapa Trekking & Homestay Experience
(Meals: B - L - D)

6:00 am: Arrive at Lao Cai Station, transfer to Sapa, and enjoy breakfast with mountain views.

8:30 am: Start a scenic trek through Muong Hoa Valley, famous for its breathtaking rice terraces and ethnic villages. Visit:

  • Cat Cat Village – Home of the Black H’mong people, known for their traditional handicrafts.
  • Y Linh Ho & Lao Chai Villages – Walk through lush valleys, crossing bamboo forests and small waterfalls.
  • Ta Van Village – Stay in a local homestay, where you can cook and dine with a Giay ethnic family.

6:30 pm: Enjoy a traditional dinner of home-cooked H’mong specialties. Experience cultural exchanges, taste corn wine, and learn about local customs.

Day 3: Sapa to Ha Giang – Gateway to the Extreme North
(Meals: B - L - D)

7:30 am: Wake up to misty mountain views and enjoy a hearty breakfast with fresh local fruits and sticky rice.

9:00 am: Drive back to Sapa town to visit:

  • Fansipan Peak – Ride the world’s longest cable car to the "Roof of Indochina" at 3,143 meters.

Noon: Have lunch at a local restaurant before departing for Ha Giang

6:00 pm: Arrive in Ha Giang, check in to your boutique homestay, and enjoy a home-cooked Vietnamese dinner.

Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 4: Ha Giang Loop Adventure – Heaven’s Gate & Dong Van Karst Plateau
(Meals: B - L - D)

7:30 am: After breakfast, gear up for an epic motorbike/jeep journey on the famous Ha Giang Loop.

9:00 am: Explore:

  • Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate – Panoramic views of the Twin Mountains and Tam Son Valley.
  • Yen Minh Pine Forest – A peaceful stretch of road through lush greenery.
  • Lung Cu Flag Tower – The northernmost point of Vietnam, offering stunning views of China’s border.

12:30 pm: Lunch at a local restaurant in Yen Minh town.

3:00 pm: Continue to Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark with dramatic limestone landscapes. Explore H’mong King’s Palace, a historic mansion from the French colonial era.

6:30 pm: Enjoy a cozy dinner at a local restaurant and explore Dong Van Old Quarter, famous for its charming houses and street food.

Overnight in a boutique hotel in Dong Van.

Day 5: Ma Pi Leng Pass & Nho Que River Boat Ride
(Meals: B - L - D)

7:30 am: After breakfast, start an unforgettable drive along Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as "the most stunning mountain road in Vietnam."

9:00 am: Take a boat ride on the Nho Que River, drifting through Tu San Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in Southeast Asia.

Noon: Enjoy lunch in Meo Vac before beginning the return journey.

3:00 pm: Drive back to Ha Giang, stopping at picturesque villages and hidden waterfalls.

7:00 pm: Arrive in Ha Giang and enjoy a farewell dinner with local specialties like grilled pork and sticky rice wine.

Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 6: Return to Hanoi & Departure
(Meals: B - L)

7:30 am: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before driving back to Hanoi.

1:00 pm: Stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

6:00 pm: Arrive in Hanoi, marking the end of your epic Northern Vietnam adventure.
