8:00 am: Our tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for a scenic drive eastward from Hanoi to Bat Trang Village, located about 15 kilometers from the city center. As we travel, enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside.
09:00 am: Upon arrival, we’ll visit Bat Trang Village, a historic settlement famous for its high-quality ceramics. Stroll through the narrow alleys and observe local artisans crafting a variety of ceramic products, from vases to plates, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. You’ll have the chance to visit workshops and showrooms where you can admire the beautifully crafted pieces and perhaps even try your hand at pottery-making.
10:30 am: Next, we’ll head to Dong Ho Village, renowned for its unique hand-printed folk paintings. These vibrant artworks, created using natural materials from local plants, depict scenes of daily life, folk tales, and spiritual symbols. In Dong Ho, you’ll have the chance to visit an artist's home, where you’ll learn about the intricate printing process and the significance of each painting. You can also try your hand at printing a traditional painting yourself.
Noon: After exploring Dong Ho Village, we’ll enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, offering a chance to relax and savor the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.
01:30 pm: In the afternoon, we’ll head to But Thap Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s oldest and most revered pagodas, dating back to the 11th century. Known as the first Buddhist center in Vietnam, this pagoda is famous for its intricate woodcarvings, particularly the stunning statue of Tay Thien Dong and the Buddha with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes. These remarkable sculptures are considered masterpieces of 17th-century woodcarving and offer a glimpse into the spiritual and artistic heritage of Vietnam.
03:30 pm: After visiting But Thap Pagoda, we’ll drive back to Hanoi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, filled with new insights into Vietnam’s traditional arts and crafts.
05:00 pm: End of Tour. This cultural exploration of Vietnam’s artistic heritage concludes, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the beauty, creativity, and craftsmanship that define these ancient villages.
