Itinerary

Start: 07:00 am - End: 06:00 pm
(Meals: Lunch)

07:00 am: Start your journey with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Da Nang. We will drive along the beautiful North Coast, passing through the Hai Van Pass, where you can see remnants of war bunkers that offer a glimpse into Vietnam’s tumultuous past. The drive is a scenic experience with stunning views of the coastline and mountains.

09:30 am: Upon arriving in Hue, we begin our exploration at the Hue Citadel, one of the most significant historical sites in Vietnam. Built between 1804 and 1833 under the Nguyen Dynasty, the Citadel is a vast complex that includes the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City. Explore the majestic Imperial City Gates, temples, pavilions, and lush gardens, all surrounded by 2 kilometers of fortified walls and a moat. Learn about the history and legacy of the Nguyen emperors as you wander through this grandiose architectural marvel.

Noon: After we tour the Citadel, we’ll stop for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant in Hue, where you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

01:30 pm: After lunch, we’ll take a peaceful boat ride along the famous Perfume River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Vietnam. The boat ride offers picturesque views of the surrounding landscapes. Our first stop along the river is the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda—a historic Buddhist temple dating back to 1601. Thien Mu is known for its serene atmosphere and its poignant history, especially the famous 1963 protest involving a monk who set himself alight in protest against the South Vietnamese government.

03:00 pm: Next, we head to the Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, one of the most exquisite royal tombs in Vietnam. Designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings and built on principles of feng-shui, the tomb blends European and Vietnamese architectural styles. Here, you’ll marvel at the intricate details of the tomb and learn about Emperor Khai Dinh's reign and legacy.

04:30 pm: After an enriching day of exploration, we will begin our journey back to Da Nang, where you can relax and reflect on the beauty and history of Hue. We expect to arrive back at your hotel around 6:30 PM.
