8:00 AM: Your guide will greet you at your hotel before we begin our half-day adventure through Hanoi.
- We’ll kick off the day with a visit to Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), the first Imperial University of Vietnam, built in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty. Explore this historical site dedicated to Confucius and the scholars of ancient Vietnam, where you’ll learn about the origins of education in the country and admire its peaceful, beautiful surroundings.
- Next, we’ll head to Hoan Kiem Lake, one of Hanoi’s most iconic landmarks. Walk along the serene shores and take in the scenic beauty before crossing the red-painted Huc Bridge to reach Ngoc Son Temple. The temple, situated on a small island, is dedicated to the legendary general, Tran Hung Dao, and offers a tranquil escape in the middle of the bustling city.
- Continue your exploration with a stop at But Tower and Dai Nghien (Inkstone Stand). These historical structures, located at the edge of the lake, hold deep cultural significance and offer a glimpse into the scholarly traditions of Hanoi’s past.
- Hop onto a traditional cyclo (pedicab) for a leisurely ride through the winding streets of Hanoi’s famous Old Quarter. As we pass through the “36 Streets,” each one with its unique trade or history, your guide will share fascinating stories about the city’s vibrant life, culture, and heritage. Experience the rhythm of daily life in this charming and energetic area, where old traditions blend seamlessly with modern-day Hanoi.
11:00 am: After the exciting cyclo ride, we’ll head to a local restaurant for a delicious Vietnamese lunch, where you’ll enjoy authentic dishes like Hanoi’s famous pho (noodle soup) or bun cha (grilled pork with noodles). This is a perfect opportunity to relax, sample the flavors of Hanoi, and reflect on the experiences of the morning.
Noon: After lunch, you’ll take a leisurely walk through the nearby areas before we wrap up our tour.
1:00 pm: Your tour concludes with a return to your hotel, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Hanoi’s unique history, culture, and hospitality.
