- Once we arrive, you’ll watch an insightful documentary that provides a deep dive into the history of the tunnels, showcasing how the Viet Cong survived and thrived during wartime.
- Next, we’ll explore the maze-like network of tunnels, which include hidden trap doors, booby traps, and various survival tactics used by the locals during the war. Your guide will walk you through the underground chambers, where you’ll see meeting rooms, kitchens, and even shelters.
- For the adventurous, there’s an opportunity to crawl through the narrow tunnels to experience firsthand what life underground was like during the conflict.
- We’ll also take a break to try some traditional wartime food—boiled cassava (manioc) served with rice, salt, and peanuts, the staple meal for many during the war.
